Here at Valley Christian School, we understand that time spent with family is precious. Events and trips scheduled during the school year are not discouraged, but are done with the understanding that classroom learning cannot be duplicated and lectures not repeated. Here are the instructions for the anticipated absence of a student:

  • Stop in the office and pick up a form.

  • Complete the form and return it to the office at least a week before a student will be absent.

  • Administration will confirm the application and then the office will make a note of the dates of absence, will remove charges for special lunch, field trips, etc.

  • The office will then give the form to the teacher/s.

  • Teachers will provide the assignments that the student needs to complete and return. Please do not ask teachers to provide assignments so that a student can complete them prior to being absent.

  • Assignments must be completed and handed in the day they return to school.

  • There is no need to turn in a form for a partial day absence (e.g., an appointment), just check your student out through the office.
